expand/collapse navigation home contact us home contact us cathcart me support group cathcart me support group welcome to our new website! we are an informal group, run by m.e. sufferers. we normally meet in cathcart trinity church hall, on the last thursday of each month, however due to ill health and other matters outwith our control, some recent meeting have been cancelled. so please check first with john or tony before making the journey. o ur aim is to provide assistance and support to fellow me, chronic fatigue syndrome and post viral fatigue sufferers and their carers, through friendship, a listening ear, advice, relevant literature and signposting to other agencies. our group was established in 1990, and currently have members, who come from all over glasgow and east renfrewshire. we try to structure our meetings to provide a mixture of education and care, we attract a wide variety of speakers, from medical researchers to the local pharmacist. increasingly we are finding that many of our members cannot attend the meetings but still wish to be part of our small community and look forward to our newsletters and phone calls from members of the group. location: cathcart trinity church is situated at 90 clarkston road, glasgow, adjacent to the couper institute. disabled access and facilities are available. for access to disabled ramp and drop-off point, enter church through bowling green road. point a in the map. parking: is limited in the surrounding streets, but should be available in monreith road east, on the left hand side, just before the railway bridge or if you are able to use the railway footbridge, behind the church in elrig road. public transport: trains: cathcart railway station on the cathcart circle/neilston line from glasgow central station is conveniently situated about 200 yards away from the church. buses: first glasgow and caledonian buses on routes 44, 44a, 66 and 66a, stop in clarkston road near the church. treatment, therapies & programmes: the m.e. group cannot take responsibility for any treatments, therapies or programmes mentioned as part of the meeting or privately in the hall. it is also recommended that you always consult your g.p. or consultant prior to any commitments. refreshments: tea, coffee and biscuits are provided but you are welcome to bring your own refreshments. sufferers, carers and other interested parties are all welcome at our meetings. come when you can, leave when you must. we are located at: cathcart trinity church 90 clarkston road, glasgow, adjacent to the couper institute. disabled access and facilities available. contact us today! if you need help and support. tony and john are just a phone call away. or you can email us at: [email protected] to come: get social with us. share tweet this page tweet print | sitemap © intimations-onlineltd login web view mobile view logout | edit page
